My Pregnancy Workouts: 18 to 22 Weeks

Yikes! I have been MIA for the past month but I have still been getting my workouts in despite being busy.  I am 25 weeks along now but I’ll back-track to fill you in on weeks 18-22.  Lot’s of exciting things happened during these weeks including our anatomy scan at 18 and a half weeks and our gender reveal party at 19 weeks.  We found out we are having a little boy!  My belly finally decided to pop out and any people that hadn’t already figured out I was pregnant know now!  With my new bigger belly, I also had to completely switch to maternity jeans.  But, best of all, my little guy really started to move around a lot and his movements have been a lot stronger since around 22 weeks.

I have continued to try to workout at least 3x a week and for the most part I have met that goal.  Body-weight movements are getting even harder and weights feel heavier but cardiovascular endurance feels pretty good!

My Workouts:

Oct 20-26 Week 18 A. 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 back squats 75# and ball slams 20# A. EMOM for 10 mins 2 power clean and jerks 85#

Oct 27-Nov 2 Week 19 A. 5×3 back squats 125# A. 4×5 strict press 55# and 4×10 good mornings A. Halloween Chipper
B. 4 rounds: 5 power snatch 55# 20 db pp 15#\or 20 lunges 55# (alt rounds) 75 single jump ropes A. 3 rounds: 20 burpees 20 c row 20 kb swings 35# only got to 2 rounds ran out of time
Nov 3-9 Week 20 A. 3 mile run/walk with Sadie A. Front squat 3×2 100# deadlift 2 RM 180# A. 8 Sets of 1 power snatch+1 hang snatch+1 ohs 70# A. 5×5 strict press 55# and 5×12 bent over rows 55#
B. 10 min AMRAP: 10 strict press 45# 15 ball slams 20# 20 lunges B. 5 rounds: 30 on/30 off airdyne and kb swings 35# B. 3 min AMRAP c&j 65# 90s rest 3 min AMRAP burpees 90s rest then 3 min AMRAP row
Nov 10-16 Week 21 A. Deadlifts: 5@125# 3@155 1+@170 (5) then 2×10 at 115# A. 4 rounds each: 30s of work/30s hold 45s rest A. 3xME db strict press 15# and tricep ext
B. 10 min AMRAP of 3 power cleans 75# 5 strict pullups (red band) 10 pushups (mod) 15 squats hang cleans 35#, push press 35#, kb swings 26# (plank hold), and jumping lunges B. 3xME bicep curls 15# and tricep pull downs
